BS”D
Leaving behind the land you grew up in, the language and culture you are familiar with, and the support system you leaned on, is harrowing. How will you adjust?
How will you learn a new system, without any help?
How will you build your life up from scratch? Who will be your friend?

Yet, sometimes there’s no choice. Sometimes, leaving is the only hope for yourself, your family, your children, your loved ones. Their only hope for a normal life, and more importantly, their only hope to remain true to Yiddishkeit, and their only hope for safety and stability. Can you imagine such a dilemma?

For some, it is even more difficult. Due to circumstances, they need to send their children away to Israel, yet they themselves must remain behind in their country. When they will see them again, they do not know. How are these young people to manage, all alone?

Who helps them settle in a strange land, with an unfamiliar language?
Who provides their needs? Who sets them up financially?
Whom can they turn to for advice they can trust?
And where can they pray, listen to Torah lectures, and enjoy spiritually-centered activities? Last but not least: Where can they turn to for help finding their soulmates?

Also for seniors: Where can they find a haven where they can spend time with people who speak their language, and understand them and their culture? Who will care for them when they cannot manage alone?

Bet Medrash Tov Va’Chesed in Beni Brak is the answer. This is a FRUM organization currently helping the immigrants in Israel.
The Tov Va’Chesed Organization of America is an American friend and supporter
of Tov Va’Chesed in Israel. We are proud to support their Torah, Chesed, and Achdut activities for our brothers and sisters in Israel.

Tov Va’Chesed of Israel offers:

IMMIGRANT ASSISTANCE
We help the immigrants navigate government bureaucracy, obtain papers, and even go to the bank.
We provide interpreters, guidance, and support.

SUPPORT FOR NEEDY FAMILIES
We currently help about 75 families with Shabbat and Chagim expenses, as well as emotional support.

MEDICAL AND HOSPITAL SUPPORT
Our participants don’t know the medical, hospital and medical insurance system in Israel. We help them navigate, and advocate for them. We get them doctors, we let them know their rights, we get them proper insurance coverage, and we help them obtain other funding when insurance is not available.
MARRIAGE ASSISTANCE
We help singles find their shidduch, and help with engagement and wedding expenses as well. Wedding expenses can be astronomical, especially when the parents need to provide an apartment for the young couple, which immigrant families often cannot afford. We also help them deal with the bank if they need to obtain a loan, and provide translators when needed.

SENIOR SUPPORT, ACTIVITIES AND CARE
We help seniors with all of the above, plus stimulating activities, a place to socialize, a listening ear and a helping hand.
